Join Virtual Tenant Leaders Session at Housing Policy Forum!

For more than 20 years, NLIHC has offered a special pre-event session designed for tenants who attend the Coalition’s annual Housing Policy Forum. NLIHC’s 2024 Forum will feature a two-day session for tenant leaders, beginning on Monday, March 18, at 2 pm ET, and ending on Tuesday, March 19, at 12 pm ET. In-person registration for Housing Policy Forum 2024 is sold out, and on-site registration is unavailable, but you can still register to attend the pre-Forum tenant leader session and Forum 2024 virtually!

Tenant Leaders Session Overview

At this year’s tenant session, HUD staff will provide an overview of the goals and priorities of different HUD programs, including public housing, project-based rental assistance, and tenant-based rental assistance. Participants will learn about the protections in each program and explore how these programs and policies can impact tenants. Featured speakers will include:

  • Richard J. Monocchio, principal deputy assistant secretary, Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH)
  • Ethan Handelman, deputy assistant secretary, Office of Multifamily Housing Programs
  • Lynn M. Grosso, deputy secretary for enforcement, Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity
  • Libby Fernandez, supervisory program analyst, Office of Multifamily Housing Programs
  • Parker Lester, program analyst, Office of Multifamily Housing Programs
