NLIHC is pleased to welcome Imani Mayo as the summer 2021 policy intern! Imani is a rising junior pursuing a B.A. in public policy with a certificate in African American studies at the University of Maryland – College Park. Imani’s passion for housing justice began when she conducted research on the impact of gentrification on low-income neighborhoods and has continued to grow ever since. She recently served as a legislative intern for the Maryland General Assembly, where she conducted research and composed legislative briefs on several issues, including housing and social policy. We are excited to have Imani join us and continue her commitment to social justice!
