Recap of NLIHC’s 1/17 National HoUSed Campaign Call

NLIHC hosted a national HoUSed campaign call on January 17. NLIHC Policy Manager Kim Johnson shared NLIHC’s outlook concerning the 118th Congress, including potential threats posed by the new rules just adopted by the U.S. House of Representatives. Dr. Maria Raven of the University of California, San Francisco, and Dr. Mark Fleming of the University of California, Berkeley, joined the call to share findings from their new report on the association of shelter-in-place (SIP) hotels with health services among people experiencing homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic. We received field updates from Amy Riegel of the Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio and Jenny Jones of the Minnesota Housing Partnership. We also heard from NLIHC Housing Advocacy Organizer Sid Betancourt about the 2023 “Tenant Talk Live” webinar series.

A recording of the call, as well as the presentation slides, are now available.
