The current foreclosure crisis is affecting the entire housing market, including rental properties. Dependent on their landlord to inform them of a foreclosure, renters are most at risk of being evicted with little notice. With lower incomes and fewer resources, their options after an eviction are often limited. With this in mind, NLIHC is seeking to raise the profile of the current crisis’s impact on renters by providing advocates and researchers with an up-to-date list of resources on renters and lower income families in foreclosure.
These resources, from NLIHC and elsewhere, are listed with the most recent first. A short summary of the key findings has been provided along with a full reference for each external resource.
NLIHC is committed to updating this list through 2009. To add a resource to this list, please contact Danilo Pelletiere at danilo@nlihc.org New Federal Protections for Renters at Foreclosure Law
